Is your child having difficulties with toilet training or other bathroom issues, feeding or other eating behaviors, or sleeping issues?

Challenges with toilet training or frequent accidents, eating (e.g., food selectivity, getting sufficient nutritional intake), and sleep (falling asleep, staying asleep, waking up on time) may have a significant impact the child’s functioning in the home, school, community, and social events. They may also impact the entire family. Through research-based intervention strategies and parent support, our clinicians can help children to develop appropriate bowel and bladder habits, expand their repertoire of foods and improve eating habits,, and acquire healthier sleep habits to improve their overall functioning and the family dynamics.

Offering Treatment for

  • Increasing liquid or food intake

Getting Started

Behavior Therapy Associates’ clinicians can support parents to address issues their child is experiencing  involving toileting, feeding, and sleep-related challenges. Through behavioral parent training, our clinicians teach parents the underlying causes of difficulty and how to intervene. We focus on behavior replacement techniques through an understanding of behavioral principles. We teach parents to pinpoint challenging behaviors, understand why behaviors may be occurring, identify skills to replace the challenging behaviors, and assist children with developing developmentally appropriate abilities in these areas. Assistance can also be provided with addressing these challenges across a variety of settings such as the home, school, and the community.
