In our next free webinar entitled, “Social Emotional Learning: Effective Tips & Tools”, Dr. Michael Selbst will provide an overview of best practices for teaching social emotional learning. This information can help children and adolescents display improvements in conversational skills, teamwork and cooperation, independence, conflict resolution skills, managing negative emotions, and many other skills. We believe generalization needs to be strategically planned for each individual and this will be discussed as well. During the webinar, you will learn how to target skills for direct instruction using our 3-D approach: Discuss, Demonstrate, and Do.

The “Social Emotional Learning: Effective Tips & Tools” webinar is open to parents, educators, mental health providers, and others involved in helping children, their families, and school personnel. Professional Development: Educators will receive a certificate documenting 1 hour of Professional Development.

We will also provide a brief overview of the HI-STEP® Summer Social Skills Program which is a 5-week summer social skills program designed to help children 6-17 learn and practice essential social skills in a fun, structured, and supervised setting, using evidence-based approaches.
