How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Contact our office at 732-873-1212 or info@behaviortherapyassociates.com to discuss your needs and goals. A member of our team will gather initial information, answer your questions, and help determine the most appropriate clinician or service for your situation.

Do you offer virtual services?

Yes. All of our clinicians provide telehealth services when needed and clinically appropriate. Through PSYPACT, psychologists at Behavior Therapy Associates can provide telehealth services to clients in participating states beyond New Jersey. Availability varies based on the clinician, service, and client location. Our Licensed Behavior Analysts can also provide telehealth services. Please contact our office to learn more about virtual service options.

Do you accept insurance?

Please note that Behavior Therapy Associates operates out-of-network and does not accept insurance directly. However, we are considered an out-of-network provider with most insurance plans. This means that you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company after paying for Behavior Therapy Associates’ services. Please note that  our clinicians have opted out of Medicare. We encourage you to contact your insurance company to determine what “out-of-network” benefits you have for mental health and behavioral health services provided by a licensed psychologist, board certified behavior analyst, or licensed behavior analyst. We provide a detailed receipt (superbill) for clients to submit to their insurance. We find that many clients receive at least some reimbursement from their insurance company through their out-of-network benefits after the clients have met their deductible.

How are clinicians matched with clients?

Our team carefully reviews each inquiry to better understand your needs, goals, and preferences. Based on this information, we recommend the clinician whose expertise and experience best align with your situation.

What should I expect during my first appointment?

Your first appointment is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, goals, and relevant background information with your clinician. Together, you will begin developing a plan that is tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
