TYPES OF CARE
Telehealth
Behavior Therapy Associates is committed to making high-quality, evidence-based care accessible and convenient for the individuals and families we serve. Telehealth services allow clients to receive professional support from the comfort and privacy of their own home, office, or other appropriate location.
Telehealth appointments are conducted through secure, HIPAA-compliant technology and offer many of the same benefits as in-person services. Depending on the client's needs and the nature of the services being provided, telehealth may be an effective option for therapy, consultation, parent training, coaching, and other behavioral health services.
Many clients appreciate the flexibility of telehealth, which can reduce travel time, improve scheduling convenience, and increase access to care. Telehealth may be particularly beneficial for individuals with busy schedules, transportation challenges, or those who live farther from our Somerset office.
Our psychologists are licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and Florida. In addition to serving clients in-person throughout New Jersey and virtually in the states noted here, all of our licensed psychologists are authorized through PSYPACT (Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact), allowing them to provide telehealth services to clients in participating PSYPACT states. This expanded access (more than 40 states in the US) enables eligible individuals and families to receive care from BTA clinicians regardless of their location within participating states.
Not all services are appropriate for telehealth, and recommendations are made based on clinical needs, client preferences, and applicable regulations. Our team will be happy to discuss available options and determine whether telehealth is a good fit for your situation.
