TYPES OF CARE

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence is a period of significant growth, change, and transition. As teens navigate increasing academic expectations, evolving social relationships, family dynamics, and questions related to identity and independence, they may experience challenges that impact their emotional well-being and daily functioning.

At Behavior Therapy Associates, we provide evidence-based therapy services designed to support adolescents through these important developmental years. Our clinicians create a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where teens can openly discuss their concerns, develop coping skills, and build confidence in their ability to manage life's challenges.

Adolescent therapy may be beneficial for concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, social challenges, school-related issues, executive functioning difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and adjustment to significant life transitions. Treatment is tailored to each adolescent's unique strengths, needs, and goals.

Our clinicians utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and other evidence-based treatment methods when appropriate. We work collaboratively with adolescents while also recognizing the important role that parents and caregivers play in supporting growth and progress.

Our goal is to help adolescents develop resilience, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and gain the tools necessary to successfully navigate the challenges of adolescence and beyond.
