TYPES OF CARE
Parent Training
Parents and caregivers play a critical role in supporting a child's emotional, behavioral, social, and academic development. Parent training provides families with practical tools, strategies, and guidance to help address challenges while strengthening positive family relationships.
At Behavior Therapy Associates, parent training is designed to empower caregivers with evidence-based techniques that can be implemented in everyday situations. Our clinicians work collaboratively with parents to better understand their child's strengths, challenges, and developmental needs while developing individualized strategies that support long-term success.
Parent training may be beneficial for families navigating behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, attention and executive functioning concerns, social skill development, school-related issues, autism spectrum disorder, and other developmental or behavioral needs. Sessions may focus on improving communication, establishing effective routines, promoting positive behavior, managing challenging behaviors, and strengthening parent-child relationships.
Our approach emphasizes collaboration, education, and practical problem-solving. We recognize that every child and family is unique, and recommendations are tailored to each family's specific circumstances and goals.
By providing parents with effective tools and ongoing support, parent training can help create greater consistency across environments, reduce stress, and promote positive outcomes for both children and caregivers.
